Stabbert Marine & Industrial (SMI) is the shipyard division of Stabbert Maritime Holdings, operating two full-service facilities in the Pacific Northwest. One in Ballard, Seattle, and one in Anacortes, Washington.

OUR YARDS
Fresh Water Port Inside the Chittenden Locks
SMI’s Ballard facility is a full-service ship repair yard located in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle, Washington. Situated inside the Hiram M. Chittenden Locks on the northwest side of the Lake Washington Ship Canal, it is a freshwater port, offering the added benefit of reduced marine growth and corrosion during yard periods.
The yard is equipped with two dry docks capable of handling vessels up to 450 feet, plus 1,600 feet of pierside moorage. With 20,000 sq ft of covered structure, SMI Ballard has the fabrication capacity to handle complex, multi-trade projects efficiently.

Deep Water Yard with Full Heavy-Lift Capability
SMI’s Anacortes facility is a full-service shipyard located on Puget Sound with direct access to deep water. The yard features two marine railway systems, 1,800 feet of deep water moorage capable of handling vessels up to 600 feet, and a 50,000 sq ft covered structure — one of the largest covered fabrication footprints in the Pacific Northwest.
The Anacortes yard is equipped with three cranes, including a 75-ton capacity unit, a 300-ton crane barge with a 200-foot boom, and comprehensive air, power, and water utilities supplied throughout the entire facility. Overnight accommodations and office space are available on-site.
