Our management team blends the abilities of master mariners with practical business and management skills. Each key member has the ability to engineer and navigate the vessels they manage, whether on a short trip or around the world. Our mechanical and structural expertise allows us to construct, convert, and maintain our equipment from the keel up. Our team develops the programs and oversees their safe and effective service.

Dan Stabbert, President and CEO

Dan Stabbert has a 35 year history as a Program Manager, Captain and Chief Engineer, with management experience from ocean going tugs up to 6000 HP, deep sea trawlers to 220′, passenger vessels to 250′, research vessels to 300′, and deep sea construction vessels to 367′, sailing all the oceans of the world. Under his leadership, Stabbert Maritime focuses on providing high quality specialized vessels to technology-based maritime service industries.

 

Lindsay Sckorohod, Chief Operating Officer

Lindsay was raised in the marine business and has 20 years of dedicated experience in the industry from deckhand to Vice President of Program Operations. Her in-depth human resource experience includes vessel crewing, logistics, employee relations, staff development, legal compliance, risk management, insurance and claim management and strategic policy development. Lindsay holds BA from Seattle Pacific University and is certified as a Professional in Human Resources.

Daniel Stabbert, VP Technical Services and Project Development

Daniel has been in the maritime industry in a number of positions and capacity for more than 15 years.  Being raised in the marine business, he has progressed from engineering and shipyard management to vessel operations management and the direct responsibility overseeing more than $200 million USD in vessel refit and conversion projects.  Daniel has managed major projects in Mexico, U.S., Asia, South America, and the Caribbean.  In addition, he is directly responsible for fleet wide vessel operations, technical project development, and vessel contract compliance.

Neal Forde, Senior Vice President Business Development

Neal is an experienced and energetic leader and team builder, skilled in all phases of executive and operations management. He possesses extensive project development and implementation experience including resource allocation, feasibility and strategic planning and contract negotiation. He has broad experience working throughout the maritime industry on projects in the oil and gas sector, research and science sector and commercial fisheries sector. His experience varies from sailing as a vessel Captain to the management of multi-million dollar ship repair, seafood and shipping companies. He holds a B.A. in Business Administration from Washington State University. He also held a USCG Masters License.

 

Chris Johnson, General Manager, SMI

Chris has 25 years’ experience in the maritime industry and is well versed in many capacities.  He has held the positions of Chief Engineer, Port Engineer, Senior Manager of Engineers, Technical Operations and Shipyard Superintendent.
