Oceanaco was specifically formed as a small woman owned business for the purpose of providing vessel management services to the maritime industry based on a rich family history of mariners and vessel operators dating back to the 1940’s.

Our efficient and cost effective approach to the ownership and operation of research vessels has made our family the premier private provider and operator of research vessels in North America.  Our vessels in the past year have traveled over 88,000 miles and operated throughout South America to the Antarctic, throughout the Pacific including Alaska, Micronesia, Latin America and across the Gulf of Mexico and Caribbean, and into the Arctic including the Chukchi and Beaufort Sea.  We have worked in all sea, ice, and weather conditions safely and effectively. Our success has been specifically attributable to our strong technical experience and personnel management.
